Elderly Asian Woman Found Dead in Kisumu's Milimani Estate: Employees Suspected of Strangulation

Police in Kisumu are investigating the death of a 75-year-old Asian woman. She was allegedly strangled to death by her employees in her Milimani home on Tuesday morning. The suspects, two men and a woman, who had worked for Mirmala Shah for over eight years, are currently at large. The motive for the killing is unclear, but police are investigating all possibilities, including robbery. Kisumu County Police Commander Alphonce Kimathi said the incident is being treated as a murder case and urged anyone with information that could assist in the investigations to come forward and report to the nearest police station. 
The police are yet to conclude the motive of this murder. Hopefully, the report will come soon. According to neighbors, the suspects made away with an unknown amount of money and other items after allegedly suffocating and strangling the woman. The incident has caused fear among residents of the leafy suburbs of Milimani Estate over the rising cases of insecurity in the area. Last month, Kisumu City Manager Mr. Abala Wanga banned Bodaboda operators from operating in the affluent neighborhood over increased incidences of crime. He claimed that the residents of Milimani and Tom Mboya estates are worried about increased crime in their surroundings. Some of them have lost their phones. People riding on Bodaboda snatched that from them while on the road.
